We have just heard that ivermectin was recently granted its first Certificate of Product Registration (CPR) by the Philippine Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The CPR was issued to local pharmaceutical company Lloyd Laboratories, Inc., thus enabling the company to manufacture, distribute, and sell the drug under specified conditions. Ivermectin will be made available as a prescription-only drug in 3mg, 6mg., 9mg., 12 mg., and 15 mg. doses. This lays the perfect groundwork for the use of ivermectin for covid in the Phillipines. We commend the authorities for taking this crucial step -we trust that other countries around the world will follow their lead.
