It’s been an interesting week in the world of ivermectin, with some positive but significant developments that could strengthen the case in favour of ivermectin. See further down this email.

The latest blog takes a close forensic examination of the recent BBC ‘Reality Check’ and finds that their case against ivermectin quickly vanishes exposing highly partisan journalism.
It’s quite revealing to read the two side by side to see how journalists (and partisan scientists) can distort ‘reality’.
We need to be vigilant against manipulation with all media.
We are happy to report some good news.
Nebraska state confirms freedom to prescribe ivermectin
As you may have seen, the Attorney General of Nebraska has made a statement to allow doctors to prescribe ivermectin or Hydroxychloroquine as off label medicines
This means that pharmacies can no longer stand in the way of Doctor patient relationships which has been reported.
We understand that other US states may follow this lead and we hope will allow millions more to access ivermectin.
Aspirin showing promise as early covid treatment
BiRD Group is a keen supporter of safe and early treatment for covid (especially by repurposing generic medicines), so we were very interested to read research from Bar-Ilan University, Israel, that aspirin could reduce the risk of needing mechanical ventilation by 44%. ICU admissions were lower by 43%, and an overall in-hospital mortality saw a 47% decrease. We look forward to hearing more about this as they investigate further.
Cases plummeting in Japan – ivermectin making the difference?
We have been following the situation Japan where covid cases have plummeted in Tokyo from 6,000 cases a day in August to regularly below 100 in October. We know there is widespread acknowledgement for ivermectin in Japan, not least from the Tokyo Medical Association. With similar vaccination rates, general media is describing this as a mystery, and their varied speculations as to why this is happens ignores the fact that ivermectin was made available from GPs at around that point. We look forward to hearing more good news from Japan including how ivermectin will have played its part.
